3.Значение изучения темы: тема способствует выработке умений и навыков, необходимых для использования английского языка, как средства получения информации по специальности и профессионального общения, способствует развитию навыков устной и письменной речи, чтению и переводу.
4. Цели обучения:
общая: обучающийся должен обладать способностью и готовностью к применению русского и иностранного языка, как средства профессионального общения (ОК -14), готовностью к активной коммуникации и информационно- аналитической деятельности, поддержанием контактов с коллегами (ПК-1).
учебная: знать лексический минимум, основную психологическую лексику и терминологию на иностранном языке, грамматический материал Passive Voice, уметь использовать знания лексико-грамматического материала в новой ситуации, владеть иностранным языком в объеме, необходимом для возможности коммуникации и получения информации из зарубежных источников.

5.2. Основные понятия и положения темы.
Занятие по теме «Introduction to Psychology» способствует развитию навыков работы в парах, группах, навыков монологической и диалогической речи. Студенты отвечают на вопросы, обсуждают прочитанное, составляют сообщение по теме. Продолжается отработка грамматического материала Passive Voice через выполнение упражнений и работу с текстом.
Текст, предлагаемый для чтения, позволяет студентам понять роль психолога и психиатра, увидеть разницу в подготовке этих специалистов.
Материалы занятия выполняют функцию ориентиров и стимулов, не являются исчерпывающими и предполагают самостоятельную дополнительную учебную деятельность студентов по изучению поставленных проблем и формированию собственных точек зрения.
