A Very Energetic Woman.

Martha is always busy with her job. But she has a family and has to take care of her children. So usually she gets up very early and does a lot of things before she goes to work.

Yesterday she got to the office at 8.30. She took off her coat, put on her reading glasses and set down at her desk. Then she read her mail and filled out the daily reports. She had enough time so she had a cup of coffee. At 9.00 the other workers arrived. Some of them were too sleepy to smile. That day Martha was too busy to talk, but she said hello to everyone. At 9.30 she went into the boss’s office. She gave him the daily reports. They were talking about them for a few minutes. She told the boss her plans for the day. Then she went back to her office and made some phone calls. The company does business in England and Japan, so sometimes she has to call these countries. But that day she didn’t have to do it.

At the end of the day she picked up the children at school. They are always happy to see her, and she is always energetic enough to play with them at home. But that evening they didn’t go home at once. They went to the café together and then they were walking in the park for half an hour because the weather was fine. In the park Martha met her old friend and they spoke a little about their families and news.

At home the family watched TV, had tea with biscuits and then the children went to bed. So Martha had some time to herself and she read a book.

You see, Martha is important to the people at the office and to the members of her family, and she does a good job in both places.
