Zhuling was originally described in Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing (The Divine Farmer’s Materia Medica Classic) as having diuretic action and was used mainly for edema and dysuria ( Wang et al ., 1964 ).G.umbellatus первоначально была описана в in Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing (Растительная Божественная материя в Классической медицине)) как мочегонное средство и использовалось в основном для  лечения отеков и нарушения мочеиспускания (Wang и др.., 1964). Clinical studies have confirmed that Polyporus umbellatus is an effective diuretic, without side effects, for the treatment of pyelonephritis, nephritis and urologic calculi ( Wang et al ., 1964 ). Aldosterone is a steroid hormone produced by the the adrenal gland, and it regulates sodium and potassium balance in the blood.

Polyporus umbellatus has been cited a number of times herbal drug used to prevent kidney stones (urolithiasis) ( Satish et al ., 2006 ). G.umbellatus исследовался также как естественный лекарственный препарат, используемый для предупреждения развития почечных камней (мочекаменная болезнь) (Satish и др.., 2006).

Wolfberry (Волчьи ягоды)

(Fructus Lycii) (Fructus Lycii) Дереза обыкновенная (лат. Lycium barbarum)

Эта трава наиболее распространена в Нинся-Хуэйский автономном округе, в провинции Ганьсу и Цинхай. Часто растет на диких склонах, где климат сравнительно прохладнее. With its growing popularity, it is also being grown almost everywhere in China as well as some parts of Asia. It is picked in summer and autumn, dried in shade till the skin is shrunk and then exposed to strong sunlight tillthe fruit is crustedwith the pulp still soft. Плоды собирают обычно  летом и осенью, сушка проходит в тени, когда плод уменьшается практически до размеров кожицы, его подвергают сильному солнечному воздействию. Растет в виде куста, и может достигать более двух метров. It doesn't grow very fast and its flowering season is from June to August. The seeds mature from August to October.The flowers of Wolfberries are hermaphrodite which means that the flowers have both the male and female organs.
